ITALKO Brushable Seam Sealer

ITALKO Brushable Seam Sealer is a one-component, solvent-based sealing compound designed for automotive bodywork and sheet-metal repairs.

It is suitable for sealing welded, spot-welded, bonded, folded, overlapping and soldered metal joints. The non-drip consistency makes it easy to apply with a brush and allows the applied layer to retain its shape until completely dry.

The sealant provides good adhesion to raw, primed and painted metal surfaces. Once dry, it creates a highly flexible coating that can be overpainted with automotive paint systems.

APPLICATION

1. Thoroughly clean and degrease the surface.
2. Ensure the application area is dry and free from dust.
3. Applying a suitable primer before the seam sealer is recommended.
4. Apply the product with a suitable brush to the required thickness.
5. Allow the sealant to dry completely before applying an automotive paint system.

Uncured excess material may be removed using a suitable nitrocellulose or acrylic solvent. Once fully cured, the sealant can only be removed mechanically.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Drying time will depend on the applied thickness and working conditions. Do not apply the finishing paint until the seam sealer has dried completely.

Use suitable personal protective equipment and ensure adequate ventilation. Always follow the product label and safety data sheet.
