Cookie policy
Last updated: 6 May 2026
Cookies are small text files saved on your device when you visit a website. We use them to keep you signed in, remember your basket, and understand how the site is being used. This policy is part of our privacy policy.
Cookie banner
On your first visit you see a banner asking how you’d like to handle non-essential cookies. Your choice is stored in localStorage (not a cookie itself) and applies for future visits in the same browser. You can change your mind any time via the banner.
What we use
Essential
Required for the site to work. No consent needed under UK PECR.
mrputty_session: your sign-in session. HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax. Expires 30 days after last sign-in.- localStorage (used like a cookie): your basket, wishlist, recently-viewed list, theme choice (light/dark) and cookie banner decision. Lives in your browser only.
Analytics
Currently not enabled. If we add analytics in future (e.g. Plausible, an EU-hosted privacy-friendly service that doesn’t track individuals), we will list the specific cookies here and request your consent first.
Marketing
Currently not enabled. We do not run third-party advertising on the site and have no plans to use marketing cookies.
Third-party
Stripe (when checkout goes live) sets cookies on its own domain to perform fraud-prevention checks during payment. These are necessary for the payment to complete and are described in Stripe’s cookie policy.
How to manage cookies
- Use the Cookie bannerwhen you first visit, or click “Customise” on it to set granular preferences.
- Clear cookies and localStorage in your browser settings. Doing so will sign you out and reset your basket / wishlist if you weren’t signed in.
- Modern browsers allow you to block cookies entirely (Settings → Privacy). Note: with all cookies blocked you cannot sign in or check out.
Changes
We’ll update this page if our cookie use changes, for example when we add analytics. Material changes will be reflected in the cookie banner so you can re-consent.
