Terms & conditions

These terms govern your purchase of products from MrPutty through mrputty.co.uk. By placing an order you agree to them. Please read carefully and save a copy. They do not affect your statutory rights.

1. Definitions

• “We”, “us”: Mr Putty Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11447460), registered office 7 Canon Place, Southampton, England, SO19 6AG, VAT number GB476486931, trading as MrPutty.
• “You”: the person placing an order on the site.
• “Goods”: the products listed on the site.
• “Order”: your offer to buy goods.
• “Contract”: formed when we email you confirmation of your order.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. Some products (e.g. solvents) may be subject to age verification at our discretion. By ordering you confirm the goods are for your own use or for legitimate business use.

3. Pricing

Prices are shown in GBP and include UK VAT at the applicable rate where shown. Shipping is calculated at checkout. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors before dispatch. If a product is mispriced significantly we will contact you with the correct price and you can cancel the order.

4. Orders and acceptance

• Submitting an order on the site is an offer to buy, not yet a contract.
• We may decline orders for any lawful reason (suspected fraud, stock issues, restricted destinations).
• The contract forms when we email you order confirmation.
• Title in the goods passes to you on delivery; risk passes when the goods leave our warehouse.

5. Payment

All payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Your account may be charged at the time of order placement; if there is a delay between order and dispatch we reserve the right to re-authorise.

6. Delivery

• Standard UK orders received before 2pm dispatch the same working day.
• Delivery times shown are estimates from the courier; we are not liable for courier delays.
• If a parcel is lost in transit (no scan in 10 working days) contact us and we will resend or refund.
• You are responsible for providing a correct delivery address. Re-deliveries due to incorrect addresses are at your cost.

7. Returns and refunds

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, UK consumer customers have a 14-day right to cancel most online orders. Trade and B2B customers may have different return terms agreed separately. Restrictions apply to opened chemical products for safety reasons. See our returns page for the full procedure.

8. Faulty or damaged goods

If goods arrive faulty, damaged or not as described, contact us within 14 days at sales@mrputty.co.uk with photos. We will arrange a replacement, repair, or refund per the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

9. Safe use of products

Many of our products are chemicals subject to UK CLP regulations. Each chemical product ships with the manufacturer’s Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and the legally required hazard pictograms on the packaging. You are responsible for reading the SDS before using the product and for ensuring the product is suitable for your intended application. We will not be liable for misuse.

10. Using our AI shopping assistant

Our site may offer an AI assistant to help you find products and answer general questions. It gives general guidance only and can be incomplete or wrong. It is notprofessional, technical or safety advice, and must not be relied on for the safe use, mixing or application of any product. Always read the manufacturer’s Safety Data Sheet and the product label before use (see section 9). Questions you type to the assistant are sent to our AI provider to generate a reply, so please do not enter sensitive personal information. We are not liable for any decision made in reliance on the assistant.

11. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Otherwise, our total liability for any single contract is limited to the price you paid for the goods in that contract.

12. Intellectual property

The site, its content, copy, photography and design are owned by MrPutty or licensed to us. You may not reproduce them without written permission. Brand names (BOLL, ITALKO, BLUECAR and others) belong to their respective owners.

13. Privacy

How we handle your personal data is set out in our privacy policy.

14. Changes to terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you place that order; we will email you if material changes affect any active or pending order.

15. Governing law

These terms and any contract formed under them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
