ITALKO Green Film-Backed Sanding Discs are fine-grade abrasive discs designed for controlled machine sanding during automotive paint refinement and finishing.

The synthetic film backing provides greater strength, flexibility and resistance to tearing than conventional paper-backed abrasives. Precisely distributed abrasive grain helps produce a consistent sanding pattern and a uniform finish.

A hook-and-loop attachment enables quick disc changes, while the 15-hole configuration supports dust extraction when correctly aligned with a compatible backing pad.

Available in P1500 and P2000 grades for removing minor surface imperfections, refining previous sanding marks and preparing cured paint surfaces before polishing.

GRIT GUIDE

The correct grit and sanding sequence depend on the coating system, condition of the surface and required final finish.

APPLICATION

1. Ensure the paint surface is fully cured, clean and free from contamination.
2. Select the appropriate grit for the defect and required finishing stage.
3. Fit the disc to a compatible 150mm hook-and-loop backing pad.
4. Align the 15 extraction holes before pressing the disc firmly into position.
5. Sand using suitable machine speed and light, controlled pressure.
6. Keep the machine moving to prevent uneven sanding or excessive heat.
7. Inspect the surface regularly and change the disc when its cutting performance decreases.
8. Refine P1500 sanding marks with P2000 where required before polishing.
