ITALKO 2K High-Build Acrylic Primer 5:1

ITALKO 2K High-Build Acrylic Primer is a strongly filling primer designed for professional automotive refinishing.

Its high application viscosity allows thicker coats to be applied, effectively filling sanding marks, deep scratches and surface imperfections left after working polyester body fillers.

The primer provides good flow and uniform surface coverage while creating an effective insulating layer between polyester fillers and acrylic topcoats. It cures quickly, sands easily and offers anti-corrosion properties.

Suitable for use with conventional and water-based automotive paint systems.

APPLICATION

1. Thoroughly clean and degrease the surface.
2. Mix the primer with the appropriate ITALKO Acrylic Primer Hardener at a ratio of 5:1.
3. Mix thoroughly and adjust to the required application viscosity where necessary.
4. Apply using a spray gun with a 1.6–1.8 mm nozzle at 2–4 bar.
5. Allow approximately 5–10 minutes of flash-off time between coats.
6. Apply the number and thickness of coats required for the desired filling effect.
7. Allow the coating to cure before sanding.
