BLUE-CAR High-Build Acrylic Filler Primer 5:1

BLUE-CAR Acrylic Filler Primer 5:1 is a professional two-component, high-build primer designed for automotive body repairs and refinishing.

Its high application viscosity allows thicker coats to be applied, effectively filling sanding marks, deep scratches and surface irregularities left after working polyester body fillers.

The primer provides good flow and uniform coverage while creating an insulating layer between polyester fillers and acrylic topcoats. It offers anti-corrosion properties, cures quickly and is easy to sand.

Available in Graphite and Grey to provide a suitable base for different topcoat colours.

Supplied as Primer only (Hardener not included)

APPLICATION

1. Thoroughly clean, dry and degrease the surface.
2. Mix the primer with the compatible BLUE-CAR Acrylic Primer Hardener at a ratio of 5:1.
3. Mix both components thoroughly until a uniform consistency is achieved.
4. Adjust to the required application viscosity where necessary.
5. Apply using a spray gun with a 1.6–1.8 mm nozzle at 2–4 bar.
6. Allow approximately 5–10 minutes of flash-off time between coats.
7. Apply the number and thickness of coats required for the desired filling effect.
8. Allow the coating to cure before sanding or applying subsequent coatings.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Hardener is not included and must be purchased separately.

For the complete 800ml container of primer, use 160ml of BLUE-CAR Acrylic Primer Hardener to obtain the specified 5:1 mixing ratio.

Once mixed with hardener, the usable working time is approximately 1 hour at 20°C.
