BOLL Primer Filler HS 5:1

A two-component primer filler based on high-quality acrylic resins. It provides excellent adhesion to a wide range of surfaces and offers outstanding filling, anti-corrosive and insulating properties.

Its high-quality fillers make the product easy to work with and sand.

Depending on the required application:

• Filler version: add 20-30% BOLL Acrylic Thinner
• Insulating version: add 40-50% BOLL Acrylic Thinner

Supplied as Primer only (Hardener not included)

SURFACE PREPARATION

Epoxy primer

Can be used to isolate underlying materials. Blow off the dust, degrease with BOLL Silicone Remover and apply the primer filler.

Existing paint coatings

Sand with P220-P400, blow off the dust and degrease with BOLL Silicone Remover, then apply the primer filler.

Polyester putty and polyester laminates

Sand with P240-P320, blow off the dust and degrease with BOLL Silicone Remover, then apply the primer filler.

Aluminum, galvanized steel and stainless steel

Sand with P320-P400, blow off the dust and degrease with BOLL Silicone Remover, then apply the primer filler.

SPECTRAL GREYS

The grey shade can be adjusted by mixing white and black BOLL Primer Filler HS 5:1:

• BL01: 100 g white + 0 g black
• BL02: 98.5 g white + 1.5 g black
• BL03: 97 g white + 3 g black
• BL04: 95 g white + 5 g black
• BL05: 90 g white + 10 g black
• BL06: 85 g white + 15 g black
• BL07: 75 g white + 25 g black
• BL08: 60 g white + 40 g black
• BL09: 30 g white + 70 g black
• BL10: 0 g white + 100 g black

APPLICATION

1. Prepare the surface according to the surface preparation instructions.

2. Stir the primer filler thoroughly before use.

3. Mix the primer filler with the hardener in a ratio of 5:1 by volume:

• Primer filler: 5 parts
• Hardener: 1 part

Alternatively, mix by weight:

• Primer filler: 100 g
• Hardener: 11 g

4. Add BOLL Acrylic Thinner according to the required application:

Filler version:

• 20-30% by volume
• 10-15 g per 100 g of primer filler

Insulating version:

• 40-50% by volume
• 18-26 g per 100 g of primer filler

5. Mix all components thoroughly.

6. Recommended flow time using a DIN 4 cup at 20°C: 35-50 seconds.

7. Pot life of the prepared mixture: 1-1.5 hours at 20°C.

8. Spray-gun settings:

• Nozzle: 1.6-2.0 mm
• Pressure: 1.7-2.2 bar

9. Apply 2-3 coats.

10. Allow 5-10 minutes between coats.

11. Curing time:

• 2 hours at 20°C
• 30 minutes at 60°C

12. When using short-wave infrared drying:

• Maximum temperature: 90°C
• Drying time: 15-20 minutes

13. Sand the cured primer filler:

• Dry sanding: P360-P600
• Wet sanding: P600-P1200

Thickness of one coat: 60-70 μm
Theoretical coverage: 10-12 m²/L
Application temperature: +15°C to +25°C

STORAGE

Protect the product from excessively low and high temperatures.

Avoid direct exposure to sunlight and store in a dry place.
