ITALKO P1 Particulate Respirator Pre-Filters – Pack of 10

ITALKO P1 Particulate Respirator Pre-Filters are replacement filters designed for compatible reusable half masks and respirator cartridges.

The P1 filter material provides low-level protection against specified solid and liquid particles when used as part of a correctly selected respirator system.

Each pre-filter is positioned over a compatible gas and vapour cartridge and secured using an ITALKO filter retainer or compatible 3M 501 retainer.

Supplied as a pack of 10 pre-filters, providing five replacement pairs for twin-filter respirators.

FITTING AND USE

1. Inspect the pre-filter, cartridge, retainer and respirator before installation.
2. Position one P1 pre-filter evenly over each compatible cartridge.
3. Secure each pre-filter using the correct filter retainer.
4. Check that the edges of the filters are fully enclosed and securely held.
5. Fit the respirator and perform the required seal check before entering the work area.
6. Replace both pre-filters together when they become dirty, damaged, contaminated or difficult to breathe through.
7. Follow the respirator manufacturer’s instructions and applicable workplace safety assessment.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• These are particulate pre-filters and do not provide protection against gases or vapours when used alone.
• P1 is a low-efficiency particulate-filter class and may not be suitable for every spraying, sanding or paintshop operation.
• Select respiratory protection according to the identified contaminant, exposure level and required protection factor.
• Do not use in oxygen-deficient atmospheres, confined spaces, immediately dangerous environments or where contaminants are unknown.
• Do not wash, clean or reuse contaminated filters.
• Replace filters as a pair to maintain balanced airflow.
• A compatible cartridge, retainer and reusable mask are required and are not included.
• Read the respirator instructions and applicable safety information before use.
