ITALKO A1/P1 Replacement Respirator Filter Kit provides a complete replacement filtration set for compatible reusable twin-filter half masks.

The A1 activated-carbon cartridges are designed for protection against specified organic gases and vapours with a boiling point above 65°C.

P1 R particulate pre-filters provide low-level protection against solid and liquid particles. The supplied retainers position the pre-filters securely over the carbon cartridges.

The balanced, trapezoidal design helps maintain a wide field of vision, while the bayonet-style connection allows the cartridges to be fitted and replaced quickly.

Compatibility and approval must be confirmed before fitting the kit to a different brand or respirator model.

FITTING AND USE

1. Inspect the mask, cartridges, filters and retainers before installation.
2. Attach one A1 cartridge securely to each bayonet connection on the mask.
3. Position one P1 R particulate pre-filter over each cartridge.
4. Secure each pre-filter using the supplied retainer.
5. Check that all components are correctly seated and locked in position.
6. Perform the required mask seal check before entering the work area.
7. Replace both cartridges and pre-filters together when required.
8. Follow the respirator and filter instructions supplied by the manufacturer.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• Select filters according to the identified contaminants, their concentrations and the required protection factor.
• P1 is a low-efficiency particulate-filter class and may not be adequate for every spraying, sanding or paintshop operation.
• A1 cartridges are intended for specified organic gases and vapours; they do not provide protection against every gas or chemical.
• Do not use in oxygen-deficient atmospheres, confined spaces, immediately dangerous environments or where contaminants are unknown.
• Establish an appropriate cartridge replacement schedule for the working conditions.
• Do not rely solely on smell or taste to determine when a cartridge requires replacement.
• Do not wash, clean or attempt to regenerate the cartridges or particulate filters.
• Replace filters immediately if they become damaged, contaminated or difficult to breathe through.
• Always fit and replace filters as a complete pair.
• Refer to the product markings, respirator instructions and applicable workplace safety assessment before use.
