Polyester putty is used for filling defects in various types of plastics (except polyethylene and Teflon).
It is ideal for manual and mechanical sanding.
It offers an exceptionally high flexibility and very good adhesion to plastic surfaces.
It has exceptionally high flexibility and excellent adhesion to plastic parts such as bumpers, spoilers, mirror housings, moldings and fenders.
Contents :
250g = Filler 242g + Hardener 8g.
500g = Filler 485g + Hardener 15g.
1kg = Filler 970g + Hardener 30g.

Important Information
Do not apply the putty directly over reactive primers (wash primers), one-component acrylic products or nitrocellulose products.
Do not apply the putty to plastics made of polyethylene (PE) or Teflon (PTFE).
Surface Preparation
Steel : Prime and sand the surface. Blow off sanding dust and degrease using BOLL Silicon Remover, then apply the putty.
Aluminum : Prime and sand the surface. Blow off sanding dust and degrease using BOLL Silicon Remover, then apply the putty.
Plastics excluding PE and PTFE : Degrease using BOLL Silicon Remover, matt the surface with an abrasive pad and degrease again.
Old paint coatings : Sand with P320–P400, blow off sanding dust and degrease using BOLL Silicon Remover, then apply the putty.
Epoxy primer : Can be used to isolate materials. Sand with P320, blow off sanding dust and degrease using BOLL Silicon Remover, then apply the putty.
Two-component acrylic primer : Sand with P320–P400, blow off sanding dust and degrease using BOLL Silicon Remover, then apply the putty.
Polyester laminates : Sand with P80–P120, blow off sanding dust and degrease using BOLL Silicon Remover, then apply the putty.
To improve adhesion on plastic surfaces, applying BOLL Plastic Primer Spray before using the putty is recommended.
Application
1. Thoroughly clean and matt the surface.
2. Thoroughly clean and degrease the surface using BOLL Silicon Remover.
3. Mixing ratio by weight
- Putty: 100 g
- Hardener: 2–3 g
4. Mix thoroughly until a uniform colour is obtained. Do not exceed the recommended amount of hardener.
- Pot life: 4–6 minutes at 20°C
5. Apply with a spatula in several thin layers, up to a total thickness of 3 mm.
6. Allow approximately 20–30 minutes for drying at 20°C.
7. Infrared drying
Heat using an infrared radiator for 4–6 minutes. Do not exceed 60°C.
8. Sanding
- Initial sanding: P80–P120
- Finishing sanding: P120–P240
9. Compatible subsequent coatings
The putty can be overcoated with:
- Two-component polyester putties
- Two-component polyester spray putties
- Two-component acrylic primers
- Two-component epoxy primers
Physical Properties
- Density at 20°C: 1.75–1.90 g/cm³
- Solubility in water: Very slight
- Viscosity: 180,000–350,000 mPa·s
- VOC content: Below 250 g/L (permitted maximum: 250 g/L)
- Application temperature: +10°C to +25°C
Cleaning
Clean application tools immediately after use with nitrocellulose thinner (Nitro) or acrylic thinner.
Please note: This product contains a protective liquid. Due to the type of lid used, a small amount of liquid may leak during transit. This does not affect the quality or performance of the body filler and may only leave minor residue on the outside of the can. By purchasing this product, you acknowledge and accept this possibility.
