BOLL Clearcoat HS 2:1 KIT (Clearcoat + Hardener)

An HS (High Solid) clear coat offering excellent scratch resistance, a high-gloss finish and efficient coverage.

Its advanced resins provide resistance to UV radiation and harsh weather conditions.

The product allows different surface textures to be achieved, helping to reproduce OEM factory finishes.

Use BOLL Acrylic Thinner to achieve the correct application viscosity.

Supplied as KIT : HS Clearcoat + Hardener.

KIT sizes available :

HS Clearcoat 1L + Fast Hardener 0.5L

HS Clearcoat 5L + Standard Hardener 2.5L

SUITABLE SURFACES

Can be applied over most commercially available solventborne and waterborne basecoats.

APPLICATION

1. Mix the clear coat with STANDARD or FAST hardener in a ratio of 2:1 by volume:

• Clear coat: 2 parts
• Hardener: 1 part

Alternatively, mix by weight:

With STANDARD hardener:

• Clear coat: 100 g
• STANDARD hardener: 48 g

With FAST hardener:

• Clear coat: 100 g
• FAST hardener: 49.2 g

2. Add BOLL Acrylic Thinner:

• By volume: 10%
• By weight: 9 g per 100 g of clear coat

3. Recommended flow time using a DIN 4 cup at 20°C: 16-19 seconds.

4. Pot life of the prepared mixture at 20°C:

• STANDARD hardener: 2 hours
• FAST hardener: 1.5 hours

5. Spray-gun settings:

• Nozzle: 1.2-1.3 mm
• Pressure: 1.6-2.2 bar

6. Apply 2 coats.

7. Allow 5-10 minutes between coats.

8. Drying and curing times at 20°C:

With STANDARD hardener:

• Dust-free: 30 minutes
• Handling hardness: 12 hours
• Full hardness: 36 hours

With FAST hardener:

• Dust-free: 20 minutes
• Handling hardness: 9 hours
• Full hardness: 28 hours

9. Drying and curing times at 60°C:

With STANDARD hardener:

• Dust-free: 5 minutes
• Handling hardness: 30 minutes at 60°C, followed by 2 hours at 20°C
• Full hardness: 30 minutes at 60°C, followed by 24 hours at 20°C

With FAST hardener:

• Dust-free: 5 minutes
• Handling hardness: 20 minutes at 60°C, followed by 2 hours at 20°C
• Full hardness: 20 minutes at 60°C, followed by 24 hours at 20°C

10. When using short-wave infrared drying:

• Maximum temperature: 90°C
• Drying time: 8-12 minutes

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES

Application temperature: +15°C to +25°C

STORAGE

Protect the product from excessively low and high temperatures.

Avoid direct exposure to sunlight and store in a dry place.
