BLUE-CAR Epoxy Thinner is a high-quality mixture of selected organic solvents developed specifically for compatible epoxy coating systems.

It is designed for thinning epoxy paints, varnishes and enamels to obtain the application parameters and viscosity specified by the coating manufacturer.

Correct use supports controlled application, smooth flow and proper drying of compatible epoxy products.

The thinner can also be used for degreasing suitable surfaces before painting and for cleaning spray guns and other application equipment after working with epoxy coatings.

APPLICATION

Thinning epoxy products

1. Prepare the epoxy product and its hardener according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
2. Check the relevant technical data sheet for the recommended amount of thinner.
3. Add the epoxy thinner gradually while continuously mixing.
4. Continue mixing until the specified application viscosity is achieved.
5. Apply the prepared coating using the recommended equipment and application settings.

Cleaning equipment

Use the thinner to clean spray guns and other application equipment immediately after working with compatible epoxy products, before the remaining coating has cured.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• Epoxy thinner is not a hardener and does not replace the hardener required by a 2K epoxy system.
• Always follow the mixing and thinning proportions stated in the coating’s technical data sheet.
• Do not use a universal fixed thinning ratio for every epoxy product.
