ITALKO Red 125mm Sanding Discs are professional abrasive discs designed for use with compatible orbital and oscillating sanders.

The electrocorundum abrasive grain provides effective material removal and consistent sanding performance across a wide range of workshop, bodyshop, woodworking and metalworking applications.

A hook-and-loop attachment allows quick, tool-free disc changes. The eight-hole extraction pattern supports efficient dust removal when correctly aligned with a compatible backing pad, helping maintain visibility of the working surface.

Available in eleven grit options from coarse P36 to fine P400, allowing the same disc range to be used for coating removal, body-filler shaping, surface levelling, primer preparation and finishing before painting.

GRIT GUIDE

• P36–P60 – heavy material removal, coating removal and coarse surface levelling
• P80–P120 – initial sanding, body-filler shaping and surface levelling
• P150–P180 – refining filler and preparing surfaces for primer
• P240–P320 – smoothing primer and refining previous sanding marks
• P400 – fine preparation before applying a compatible paint system

The correct grit progression depends on the substrate, coating system and required final finish.

APPLICATION

1. Select the appropriate grit for the material and required sanding stage.
2. Ensure the 125mm backing pad is clean and compatible with the eight-hole pattern.
3. Align the extraction holes before pressing the disc firmly onto the hook-and-loop pad.
4. Connect suitable dust-extraction equipment where available.
5. Sand using an appropriate machine speed and light, controlled pressure.
6. Keep the sander moving to prevent heat build-up or uneven sanding marks.
7. Inspect the surface regularly and replace the disc when worn, damaged or clogged.
8. Continue with progressively finer grits until the required finish is achieved.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• Confirm that the eight-hole pattern and 55mm hole spacing match the backing pad.
• Do not exceed the maximum speed specified by the sander or backing-pad manufacturer.
• Avoid excessive pressure, as this may reduce abrasive life and produce uneven sanding.
• Use suitable dust extraction whenever possible.
• Wet-use suitability is not stated by the supplier; use for dry sanding unless confirmed otherwise.
